ASTROCUBE ONE
Your own observatory from 1 × 1 × 1 m in the backyard – fully assembled in a single afternoon. Clear skies. Instant access. Every night. Ready for long-exposure imaging without lead time.
„Never again carry heavy telescopes, collimate, and wait for cooling down.“
Set up once. Observe forever.
Wall height up to 2.00 m possible. Other base dimensions on request. Permit-free in almost all areas.
Basic, Pro and Ultimate. From manual roll-off roof to ASCOM-compatible full autonomy for remote sessions.
Simple 2-person assembly without concrete pouring or masonry. Solid ground anchors in turf or paving slabs.
Precision connectors and supplied digital step-by-step manual V2.0 with dimension plans suffice.
THREE PRINCIPLES OF PERFECTION
Engineered like an industrial metrology lab – built for permanent operation in any Central European weather conditions.
MODULAR & TRANSPORTABLE
No concrete foundation required. Moving house? AstroCube disassembles in ~90 mins and easily fits into an estate car or van.
- → Modularly expandable
PRO TECH AT A DIY PRICE
Sturdy 40×40 heavy-duty aluminium profiles, UV-resistant Aludibond and EPDM double lip seals reliably protect sensitive optics from wetness and wind-blown snow.
- → Mechanical storm lock included
- → Thermal decoupling & insulation optional as add-on
MODULAR KIT SYSTEM
Start with manual Basic model. Upgrade later with motors, ASCOM control, sensors or split-roof without drilling on existing T-slot grooves.
- → 100% compatible with T-Slot 40 Groove 8
- → Future-proof upgrade architecture
THREE TAILORED EQUIPMENT TIERS
Select your level of automation: From manual rapid roll-off to worldwide cloud remote operation.

ASTROCUBE BASIC
Base price exact for 1 × 1 × 1 m (Wall height up to 2.00 m on request).

ASTROCUBE PRO
Individually calculated based on telescope dimensions & wall height.

ASTROCUBE ULTIMATE
Custom luxury solution for autonomous permanent operation.
PRECISION DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL.
No condensation. No flexing. No hassle.
Developed in the Nature Park Hoher Fläming (Wiesenburg, Brandenburg). Rough winter conditions meet prime dark-sky nights. Every single detail has been tested in the field to reliably shield high-end astro-cameras and optics.
Anodised aluminium in 40 mm modular grid. Ultra torsion-resistant for shake-free imaging.
UV-resistant, weatherproof and impact-proof. Additional thermal insulation optional as add-on.
Modular adaptation with wall height up to 2.00 m for large Triplet Apochromats & SC scopes. Other base dimensions on request.
Dual barrier protection against driving rain, pollen, dust and wind-blown snow.
ASTROCUBE CONTROL – ROOF OPEN. SAFETY ON.
The local control and safety layer for the motorised roll-off roof. AstroCube Control unifies roof control, weather data, hardware sensors, automation, and maintenance into one interface – included by default from tier PRO upward.
Weather, park status, and roof state are kept in continuous view.
Safety conditions are rigorously evaluated before any opening command.
The mechanical action starts only once every release condition is met at the same time.
Automated, controlled response to any unsafe weather event – no input needed.
Dual-Check Philosophy
Opening is allowed only when the weather channel, park sensor, hardware sensor E3, and roof status all release it simultaneously. The physical E3 weather sensor always remains the hard safety boundary – regardless of any software forecast.
Weather Engine: Reality over Prediction
Missing, stale, or implausible weather data is instantly treated as unsafe. Online forecasts are informational only and never feed the safety engine – only the local hardware measurement decides.
Predictive Maintenance
Every open/close cycle is permanently logged. Per-roof cycle counters and pre-loaded maintenance checkpoints (rails, seals, limit switches, motor mounting, park sensor) keep the mechanics as reliable as the software.
“Automation closes the roof when weather becomes unsafe. It never opens the roof by itself.”
The Iron Rule of AstroCube Control
Local first: Fully functional on your own network. Remote access only via a protected VPN, never exposed ports.
ASCOM Alpaca & N.I.N.A.: Standardised connection to common astro software for automated imaging sessions.
Telegram alerts: Instant notification for manual actions, errors, or automated closures.
INTERACTIVE CONFIGURATOR
Configure your personal AstroCube. We calculate exact profile dimensions, track lengths and assemble a detailed offer including freight forwarding options.
„I engineered AstroCube exactly as I always envisioned it for my own deep-sky sessions: uncompromisingly stable, wind-tight, and without days of concrete pouring in the yard.“
Thanks to the compact base footprint of 1 × 1 m, AstroCube ONE qualifies as a permit-exempt minor structure in almost all jurisdictions. No tedious building permit paperwork required.
All aluminium profiles are precision mitre-cut, deburred and pre-drilled. Delivered as an assembly-ready complete kit via freight forwarder to kerbside (freight cost distance-dependent).
